In the wonderful care of the staff of Riverview Nursing Home, Ballina. Predeceased by her parents, Joe and Catherine Duggan, her sister Eilish and brother Michael. She will be sadly missed by her brother John, sister Maura, sister-in-law Bridie, brother-in-law Ken, nieces, nephews, extended family, the Sisters of Marcy, Western Province and many friends.

Reposing at McGowans funeral home, Ballina on Thursday 6th evening from 3pm with removal at 4.30pm to St. Muredach’s Cathedral.

Requiem Mass on Friday morning at 11.30am with burial afterwards to Leigue cemetery. Funeral mass will be live streamed at

Due to current restrictions and guidelines and to protect each other and the most vulnerable in our community funeral home is walk through only and there is no sympathising by handshaking in funeral home and face coverings must be worn at all times.

    On a personal note I taught alongside Sr Breege for many years in St Mary’s. She was a true lady with a great sense of humour.

    I enjoyed meeting her on the occasions when I visited your community in Rockwell. My sisters and I offer sincere condolences to the community and her family. Sr Breege taught my sisters and they have fond memories of her.
