Predeceased by his parents James and Linda, sisters Angela Finnerty, Nora Cavanagh, infant baby sister Mary, brother-in-law Michael John Finnerty and his brother Patrick (Pa) who died on the same day.

Reposing at McGowan’s funeral home, Ballina (F26 V274) on Friday evening from 5pm with removal at 7pm to St. James’s Church, Easkey, arriving at 8pm.
Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 noon followed by burial in Roslea Cemetery, Easkey.

It was with unbelief and deep sadness I heard the news of Pa and Seamus. I’m very sorry. In my childhood I was a regular caller to their home in Carrowpadden. Seamus and Pa were absolute gentlemen, full of kindness and generosity. My sincere sympathy to Vincent and Donald, their nieces, nephews and extended family. May Seamus and Pa rest in eternal peace.

They have been great neighbours to generations of our family. Pa brought the news and fun to our house on a daily basis and was on hand if we needed assistance.
