Dear Beattie and Devaney Families, my cousins. I’m heartbroken to learn of the death of Phyllis my godmother. Always kind, loving, funny and empathetic. We will always remember and be grateful for how kind you were to my mother Joan Allen when we were children. We loved you and it was always a joy when you were in our home. Some years ago I visited Phyllis in her home on the Killala road where although being partially blind at the time she recounted all the stories and poems she recited to us as children. You were one in a million Phyllis. Be happy now and rest in peace in heaven. Love and hugs Bernadette xxx❤️
