Former vice principal St. Muredach’s College, Ballina.

Pádraic, passed away peacefully on Tuesday 18th January in the care of the staff of St. John’s Unit, Mayo University Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Chris (Christine) and much loved father of Pádraic, Máire, Eibhlín, Noel and Cormac, grandfather of Fionn, Oisín, Blaine, Séadna, Cionnaola, John and Emilka. Sadly missed by his devoted brother Eamon, sisters-in-law Máire and Margaret (Moran), daughters-in-law Mary & Ewa, son-in-law David, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina on Thursday 20th evening from 6pm until 7pm with removal afterwards to St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina arriving at 7.30pm. Requiem mass on Friday afternoon at 1.30pm with burial afterwards to Leigue Cemetery. Funeral mass will be live streamed at www.ballinaparish.orgHouse private please. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to : Community Action for Dementia, Mayo (Western Alzheimers Association, C/o McGowan’s Funeral Directors).

Due to current HSE and Government guidelines and to protect each other and the most vulnerable in our community funeral home is walk through only, no sympathising by handshaking in funeral home or church and face coverings must be worn at all times.
