The death has occurred of Ferdia (Fab) McNamara of 4 Brook Lane, Ballina, Co. Mayo unexpectedly at his residence.
Ferdia predeceased by his parents Tommy and Bridgie McNamara and his nephew baby Oisín Mulligan,
Beloved brother of Marian Rafter, Niall, Ciaran, Pearse, Padraig, Cliona Mulligan, Michéal, Deirdre Madden, Roisín Hull, and Niamh Anderson.
He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken siblings, brothers-in-law Stewart Rafter, Sean Mulligan, Phil Hull, Rodney Anderson, Deirdre’s partner Niall Hodgins, sisters-in-law Adrienne, Marie, Helen, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina (Eircode F26 V274) on Thursday evening 8th May from 5.30pm until 7:00pm.
Funeral will arrive to St. Muredach’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass on Friday morning 9th May at 11.30am.
Private cremation will take place in McGowan’s Crematorium, Collooney, Sligo.
Ferdia’s funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.ballinaparish.org

Fab Ferdia was a special guy with abundance of energy , great wit ,great personality, truly amazing person with great nature who was always in good form and forever put a huge smile on your face ! He loved his work as DJ & Gardener in Connors combined both roles amazingly .
It was a pleasure working with “ Fab Ferdia “, in Timmy’s bar during the 90s and it was a time of great fun and laughter & celebrations . Every weekend was a blast and Ferdia was the main person who enriched our lives during that time & our lives were a lot more care free & a lot happier !
He had the ability to make everyone special without offending them and when he was bored he’d ask if he could play the discs at any time of day or week ,that is when the place would come alive as well as Fab !
We all shared great moments & times there at the Bar , with Fab , at the time it was just a shame it all ended .!
A true “ legend” is gone but never will be forgotten . Will be missed sorely by everyone .
