Peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Predeceased by her husband John, sons, T.J., Bernard and Peter Paul.

Beloved mother of Esther Young, Phil Bruen (Culleens), Sheila Renouf, Goretti Williams (UK), Maura McKeon, Martina, Martin, Justin and Joan Hartnett.

Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, daughter-in-law, Pauline, sons-in-law, Jim, Paul, Mike, Charlie, Donie and Eamon, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home., Ballina, on Monday evening from 7.15 pm to 8.45 pm.

Funeral will arrive to The Church of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven, Enniscrone on Tuesday morning for requiem mass at 11 am, followed by burial in Killanley Cemetery.

  1. We are so sorry to hear of Celia’s passing. A wonderful lady who will be missed dearly. Sending love and condolences from Japan.

  2. Dear family, Janet and I are so sad to find that Celia has died after such a long life. We hope that you can take comfort in each other at this difficult of times. We have the happiest of memories living next to to her and the family in Loftus’ house in Killanley.
