The death has occurred suddenly of Barry Gillespie on 4th June, 2023.
Beloved son of Pat and Matilda and loving Fiancé of Priya. He will be sadly missed by his parents, fiancé, brothers and sisters Simon, Lorraine, Lisa and Shane, sister-in-law Sorcha, brother-in-law Simon, nephew, niece, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and his many friends.

Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina on Friday evening from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Funeral will arrive to St. James’ Church, Easkey on Saturday morning for Requiem mass at 11:00am. Funeral will proceed to Shannon Crematorium for a Cremation Service after.

No words can express the terrible sadness being felt at this time. Barry was loved and respected by so many people and will remain in their memories forever. He had a remarkable ability to befriend everyone he came into contact with and would always offer to help in any way he could no matter who asked. As a very special son, partner, colleague, friend he will be missed dearly by all who were lucky to have been touched by him in their lives.
I particularly wish solace for his family and fiancé and know that, whilst overwhelming, the knowledge that he was and remains such a highly regarded person and of course personality, which he had in spades, brings some comfort at this very difficult time.
